Dongfeng Rich 6 EV 350 2024

The Dongfeng Rich 6 EV made its debut in July 2023 with the debut of Dongfeng’s fleet of electrified commercial vehicles for the Philippine market. At launch, the Dongfeng Rich 6 EV was only available in one variant and came with a price tag of P2,760,000.

The fully-electric Rich 6 EV rides on the Nissan F-Alpha platform, a platform it shares with the Nissan Navara and Terra SUV. The heart of this pickup truck is a 120 kW electric motor, drawing power from a Lithium Ion Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery with a capacity of 60.16 kWh. With this configuration, the Rich 6 EV delivers 160 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque.

The Rich 6 EV is equipped with both an AC and DC charger. Charging the Rich 6 EV requires approximately 12 hours to reach full capacity from zero percent using an AC charger. Alternatively, a DC charger can replenish the battery of this electrified pickup from zero to 100 percent in just three hours. 

In terms of suspension, it features a double wishbone setup at the front and a leaf spring rear, providing robust support for carrying heavy loads effortlessly. The Rich 6 EV has 18-inch alloy wheels with disc brakes providing stopping power on all four corners. 

Despite its utilitarian design, the Rich 6 EV has an abundance of gadgets. These include a digital instrument panel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, push-button start, an electronic parking brake, a tire pressure monitoring system, cruise control, Eco/Sport modes, and a rotary-style gear selector.

In the safety department, the Rich 6 EV is equipped with dual front airbags, traction control, vehicle dynamic control, brake assist, rear parking sensors, and a reverse camera.

The Rich 6 has a robust and bulky exterior, as expected of a midsize pickup truck. The Rich 6 EV sports a chrome nose featuring the Dongfeng badge as well as a completely covered grille with blue accents scattered throughout, in reference to its electric powertrain. Completing the look is a set of LED headlights with matching LED DRLs lining the top of the headlight housing.

At the back, the Dongfeng Rich 6 EV is equipped with LED taillights and a black bumper with chrome garnishes. Overall, the Rich 6 EV still looks the same as its internal combustion-powered version save for a few aesthetic changes up front. 

Inside the Rich 6 EV, you’ll find a utilitarian interior spruced up with a few blue accents in the cabin. Interior amenities include leather seats, a digital instrument panel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, Zero Gravity seats inspired by Nissan, push-button start, an electronic parking brake, a tire pressure monitoring system, cruise control, Eco/Sport modes, and a rotary-style gear selector.

At the front, the Rich 6 EV sports a familiar interior, featuring knobs for the HVAC system, and black leather seats. Dongfeng does let you know that you’re riding in an EV by putting the blue accents on the steering wheel and the sides of the center stack for additional flair.
