The Chevrolet Tracker is a 5-seater subcompact crossover in the Philippines that is aimed at the "internet generation" with its new youthful look and modern design language. It comes with an array of technology that fits in well with the needs of the modern automotive market. On the inside, the crossover comes generous cargo space and with Chevrolet's 8-inch my link infotainment system that gives the vehicle access to Apple CarPlay. Launch
The Chevrolet Tracks made its Philippine debut on July 1, 2021, with two variants available, the LS and LT Redline models, both being powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine. Prices for the vehicle start at P1,112,888 for the entry-level model and P1,242,888 for the top-of-the-line model. Chevrolet Philippines also announced that there will be a special introductory discount of P30,000 for the Tracker which brings down its price for the LS variant and LT Redline variant to P1,112,888 and P1,212,888 respectively.
Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
The Chevrolet Tracker in the Philippines rides on General Motor's GM GEM Platform and is available locally in a front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout. This gives the crossover a car-like ride despite its larger dimensions.
It is powered by a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engine that produces 116 hp and 175 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via 6-speed automatic transmission for all of the models locally available. The 1.0-liter motor also comes with an Active Thermal Management system with an electric water pump, an exhaust gas recirculator, and a variable displacement oil pump that makes use of the otherwise wasted energy from the engine. This helps the motor maintain great performance while reducing the load of the battery system as well as lowers fuel consumption. The car's turbocharger is also water-cooled, and the engine features the Euro 6 emissions standard.

The Chevrolet Tracker comes equipped with the brand's 8-inch MyLink infotainment system which comes with Apple CarPlay as standard and is paired with a four-speaker sound system. The infotainment system also features Bluetooth connectivity along with two USB ports and 1 SD card reader slot. The top-of-the-line LT Redline also comes with a push-button start/stop system along with a keyless ignition system and an automatic climate control system for added convenience.
Exterior
The Chevrolet Tracker comes with the automaker's latest design language which gives it a youthful and modern look. The overall styling is similar to that of Chevrolet's newer SUVs that make it look sporty thanks to its shaper cuts and creases. The top-of-the-line LT Redline comes with a special blacked-out 17-inch alloy wheel along with red accents on the upper grille, side mirrors, and on the wheels. The tracker also comes with LED projector headlights, LED taillights, and LED daytime running lights. The crossover also features a panoramic sunroof and heated side mirrors.
The overall dimensions of the Tracker come in at 4720 mm in length, 1,791 mm in length, and 1,626 mm in height. This makes the vehicle a sizeable entry into the subcompact crossover segment in the Philippines.

Interior
The sporty and dynamic theme of the Chevrolet continues into the cabin. Notably, the Redline Edition comes with exclusive appointments including its all-black dual cockpit and jet-black seats adorned with red double stitching. The Tracker LS, on the other hand, has a two-tone jet black and captain blue interior. Both trims come with a MyLink infotainment system that supports various multimedia options such as Bluetooth connectivity, AM/FM, and Apple CarPlay. Sound is released through a 4-speaker audio system, plus, it also has USB ports and one SD card reader slot.
This subcompact crossover also has good practicality points. Aside from having a cabin that can accommodate up to 5 passengers, the Tracker also 20 smart storage solutions to keep things organized inside the car. Plus, the 60/40 split-folding rear seats should allow you to load in larger items at the boot.
Safety
The Chevrolet Tracker in the Philippines is equipped with four airbags, ABS with EBD, and stability control as standard for both of its models. A tire pressure monitoring system and rear parking sensors are also standard with the crossover along with a 130-degree reverse camera. On top of this, the crossover also has rollover mitigation, enhanced understeer control, mini spare detection, cornering brake control, traction control, engine drag control, panic brake assist, hill start assist, low vacuum brake assist, no vacuum brake assist, fading brake assist, torque vectoring via the braking system, and ISOFIX tethers.
