Hyundai Elantra N Overview
The Hyundai Elantra returns and the four-door sedan is now a track-ready, corner-bashing monster. Meet the Elantra N, the sporty version of the beloved Elantra sedan, chipped and tuned by Hyundai’s N division.
The beast growling inside the Elantra N is Hyundai’s Theta-II engine, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that puts out 276 hp and 392 Nm of torque delivered to the front wheels via an eight-speed Dual Clutch automatic transmission or a six-speed manual, to keep purists happy of course.
Exterior-wise, the Elantra N is radically different from its normal version. The front fascia is edgier and more focused, featuring cuts and ducts to provide both maximum airflow for cooling and aerodynamic efficiency. At the sides, the Elantra N sports creases that are reminiscent of Hyundai’s IONIQ line, giving it a modern aura.
Finally, at the back, Hyundai has remodeled the rear end of the Elantra N to make it look more aggressive and sporty. Unique to the Elantra N is a black spoiler for aerodynamics, a functional twin exhaust system giving it a unique burble, and red highlights to differentiate it from the Elantra pack.
