Mercedes-Benz launched the EQB to fill the gap between compact and full-size electric SUVs, offering a family-friendly vehicle that's both versatile and sustainable. It was introduced as part of the brand’s continued push to electrify its portfolio, appealing to those who need more space than the EQA but prefer a smaller, more agile vehicle than the EQC. With its roomy interior and high-tech features, the EQB aims to set a standard for compact electric SUVs in the luxury segment.

Built on the same platform as the GLB, the EQB incorporates Mercedes-Benz's electric vehicle architecture, ensuring a well-balanced ride and spacious cabin. The EQB is available with all-wheel drive (4MATIC), enhancing its stability and handling, particularly in tougher driving conditions. Its powertrain delivers up to 215 kW (288 hp) and 520 Nm of torque, allowing the EQB to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 6.2 seconds. While its range is more modest compared to larger electric SUVs, the EQB still offers enough efficiency to meet the daily demands of most families.

Like other EQ models, the EQB comes with Mercedes' MBUX infotainment system, featuring a dual-screen setup that stretches across the dashboard. The system includes voice control, navigation with electric intelligence, and smart route planning, factoring in charging stops along the way. The EQB also features digital instrumentation and a head-up display. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with advanced driver assistance features, making it safer and easier to drive in various conditions.

The EQB carries a more angular and rugged design compared to other models in the EQ lineup. Its upright stance allows for more headroom and cargo space while still offering a distinct Mercedes look, with an illuminated front grille and LED headlights. The vehicle rides on 19- or 20-inch wheels and boasts a solid, SUV-like appearance with high ground clearance and a more muscular profile. This blend of practicality and style ensures the EQB stands out among other compact electric SUVs.

The EQB’s interior is versatile and comfortable, with seating for up to seven passengers depending on the configuration. It features high-quality materials, such as leather upholstery, as well as optional heated and ventilated seats for added luxury. The second-row seats are adjustable, and the third-row seats can fold flat to expand the cargo area. Ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof add to the premium feel, while the spacious cabin makes it perfect for families on the go.
