The Suzuki Celerio is Suzuki’s entry into the subcompact hatchback market. The small hatchback features an updated 3D organic sculpted design as seen on the sleek and rounded front fascia with a new signature grille and distinct character lines that both improve the design of the vehicle and its aerodynamics.
The current generation boasts an increase in dimensions compared to the previous generation. It can fit five passengers. It features an improved cargo capacity of 295 Liters, while additional space can be had thanks to its 60:40 split and folding seats. On the interior, it comes with a 7-inch Sony touchscreen with WebLink functionality.
The Celerio is powered by Suzuki’s K10C three-cylinder 1.0-liter engine. The DOHC engine produces 66 hp and 89 Nm of torque. The engine can be either had with a five-speed manual transmission or an Auto Gear Shift (AGS) transmission. Standard safety features of the vehicle include ABS with EBD, dual SRS airbags, stability control, and reverse parking sensors.
Launch
The Suzuki Celerio was formally introduced in the Philippines on August 5, 2015. It came with the 1.0-liter K10B from the previous generation. On May 6, 2022, Suzuki Philippines launched the new-generation Celerio, which features a more fuel-efficient K10C engine paired with either a five-speed manual transmission or an Auto Gear Shift (AGS) transmission.

The Suzuki Celerio is built on the new HEARTECT platform and comes with the K10C, a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine that produces 66 hp and 89 Nm of torque. It incorporates Suzuki’s DualJet technology with dual variable valve timing. Power is sent exclusively to the front wheels. It’s available with either a five-speed manual gearbox or an AGS transmission. Suzuki says the Celerio delivers up to 28.25 km/L, making it the most efficient car in the Philippines at the time of its launch.
The subcompact hatchback rides on MacPherson strut suspension up front and torsion beam at the rear. Stopping power comes from ventilated discs for the front brakes and leading and trailing drums for the rear. It comes with electric-assisted power steering and 15-inch alloy wheels.

On the inside, the Suzuki Celerio comes with a 7-inch Sony touchscreen infotainment system with WebLink connectivity. A single-zone climate control zone is the only available option for the hatchback. It also comes with USB charging ports and keyless entry for added convenience.
Exterior
The Suzuki Celerio showcases the brand’s latest 3D organic sculpted design language with its much more rounded front end. It has a small grille with a horizontal chrome accent which is flanked on either side by halogen headlights. It also comes with front fog lamps which are complemented by 15-inch alloy wheels. At the rear the hatchback gets droplet-style taillights. As for its colors it can be had in Speedy Blue Metallic, Glistening Gray Metallic, Fire Red, and Acrtic White.
Interior
On the inside, the 3D organic sculpted design continues. This is accentuated by the twin-slot center AC vents that come with chrome accents and barrel-type side air vents with silver trim on the side. The hatchback comes with manually adjustable seats with a fabric material.
Safety
The Suzuki Celerio comes with the industry standard for its safety features. The hatchback comes with a body made of high-tensile steel which lets it better comply with all global crash safety regulations. Aside from this, it also comes with dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, Stability control, and reverse parking sensors as standard. Hill hold control is also available but with the AGS variant.
Pros & Cons
What you might like about the vehicle is its fun driving dynamics similar to that of a go-kart. It also features a fuel-efficient engine. For its size, it features a relatively roomy rear cabin.
What you might not like is the handling of the vehicle that needs a little more refinement. Its lighting features also need to be updated as more and more vehicles are shifting to projectors and LED lighting. Its NVH also needs improvement.

Owned for three months now. This basic (slightly high-tech) car performs its "duties" pretty well, but it is really not comparable to higher-tier cars like a lot of people do. Fuel consumption is highly economical, but the transmission takes a lot of getting used to. It is very easy to maneuver around the city and can easily fit in tight spaces where typical sedans can't fit into. Although sometimes lacking in power, you will find that the Manual Mode helps a lot, especially in hill climb situations. The Manual Mode also allows for better gear shift timing and gives more power at the same time. You're going to love the AGS transmission on this car once you get used to it. The car drives smoothly on smooth pavement, however, you feel almost every bump on rough roads like the usual pavement in the city. Outside noise is not blocked as much, but it is tolerable. Still, the ride feels comfortable for most of the driving time. The technology on the Celerio is actually good. It comes with great safety features, but the infotainment system can use an upgrade though. Lastly, the car may seem small, but you can actually fit 5 people inside comfortably contrary to reviews (depending on the size of the passengers of course). Fitting 5 people in the car, the engine still performs really well. Overall, what you'll appreciate in this car is the fuel economy, space, safety features, and most of all, the AGS transmission. I got the best feature I read when planning to buy "fuel economy". Aside from that, after 3 years of having it, we discovered AC as its most if not main issue. Now at age 5, we are about to change compressor. Well-maintained unit from the beginning. Followed its manual's maintenance record under casa, then now in trusted car maintenance shops.
