When it comes to getting a family vehicle a few specifications come to mind. It needs a comfortable ride, a powerful engine, and more than enough room for your entire family. Enter the Maxus G10, a relatively new vehicle that wants to make an impact on the minivan segment with its unique set of features and special mobility-oriented variant.
A turbo-diesel engine under the hood

Powering the Maxus G10 is a 1.9-liter turbo diesel engine. Don’t let its displacement fool you as it packs more than enough power to get the minivan going and up to speed fairly quick. It produces 148 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. Together, the motor and transmission give the vehicle a comfortable and smooth ride that its driver and passengers will surely enjoy.
Seats for everyone

The Maxus G10 comes with seating for 9 occupants. This makes the vehicle ideal for those who have bigger families as it offers a good amount of space as well. It comes in a 2+2+2+3 configuration which allows for two rows of captain’s seats to be had. This maximizes the space in the 2nd and 3rd rows, however, at the cost of some space for the 4th-row bench seats. Regardless of this, space is still plentiful and comfortable at least for those sitting in the captain’s chairs. The 4th row is better reserved for much shorter passengers or for kids.
PWD package

The Maxus G10 can also be had with a PWD assist package. While similar in specifications to the standard model, this special variant comes with a captain’s chair that can enter and exit the vehicle. This makes it easier for PWDs or elderly passengers to exit and enter the vehicle. Something to take note of is that it takes about a minute or so for the seat to deploy in and out of the vehicle. Regardless, it’s still a great option to have especially if you have a mobility-challenged family member.
Great visibility and maneuverability

While the Maxus G10 is rather large, it comes with the right equipment to make maneuvering driving the vehicle much easier. It has a nicely weighted steering wheel that makes short work of 3-point turns and it even comes with proximity sensors at the front and rear of the vehicle that lets you easily maximize the space around it. Aside from this, the Maxus G10 also comes with a great amount of visibility from the driver’s point of view as you are seated pretty high granting you a good view of the road ahead.
220V socket

To keep your family members entertained on a long road trip or while stuck in city traffic, the Maxus G10 comes with a 220V socket. This allows you to charge or operate bigger devices that are not limited by a 12V socket. This opens up more entertainment options for the whole family as a laptop may be used to keep them distracted while on the road. Speaking of a laptop, this also allows you to turn the Maxus G10 into a mobile office if needed as the minivan can provide a constant stream of power to your personal computer.
