Maxus G10 Overview
The Maxus G10 is the brand's entry to the minivan segment in the Philippines – a market pointed towards Filipino families. The G10 carries the typical minivan styling but with a touch of class and refinement that can be found in minivans nowadays. With dual-sliding doors, LED taillights, and 16-inch alloy wheels, the G10 promises a stylish journey with your family. inside, the Maxus G10 features a 9-seat configuration that comes with four captain seats. The seats are clad with a combination of leather and fabric, while a 7-inch infotainment system crowns the dashboard for on-board entertainment. Powering the Maxus G10 is a 1.9-liter VGT turbo diesel engine that produces 148 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. These output numbers are then sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. Safety features include three airbags, reverse camera and sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors, ABS with EBD, and 3-point seatbelts for all nine occupants. The Maxus G10 is available in these colors: Silver, Gray, White, Gold, and Black.
- Launch
-
The Maxus G10 first made its Philippine market debut in June of 2019. It originally came with just one variant but Maxus Philippines would later add a more PWD focused variant in the form of the G10 Assist. The British inspired minivan comes with a 1.9-liter turbo diesel engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission with seating for nine.
- Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
-
The Maxus G10 comes powered by a 1.9-liter turbo diesel engine that sends its power exclusively rear wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission. It comes with hydraulic power steering and with MacPherson and 5-link coils at the rear. Stopping power comes from ventilated discs found at all four corners of the vehicle.

-
Despite its small displacement engine the Maxus G10 has enough get up and go to push you back into your seat when you floor it. If you are used to constantly feathering the throttle expect there to be some turbo lag. It takes time for the turbo to get up to speed and as such you might not get enough power when you need it. Where the transmission shines is on long stretches of road where the same constant throttle input is needed. Entering manual mode does help you maximize the engine's power.
For its size, the Maxus G10 handles well it handles corners comfortably and without much drama. The brakes, however, can feel spongy but rest assured the vehicle has enough stopping power to get you to a stop when needed. The suspension also communicates well with the driver letting you know where the body will go along with the suspension. It also helps that the vehicle rides on commercial-grade tires making it able to handle heavy loads better.

It comes with sliding doors on either side that make entering the exiting the vehicle much easier.
