Jay Clemente is an IT Professional, and he doesn’t have the latest CS35 Plus, in fact, what’s most impressive about his story is that he purchased a CS35 Plus from one of Changan Auto Philippines’ first batches. The pre-facelift CS35 Plus was quite a handsome car for its time, and Jay has been driving it for two years now. 

“I knew nothing about the brand (but) the aesthetic quality of the exterior and interior amazed me. I asked more about it… I took the risk and up till now it still amazes me, my family, and friends…. The driving’s really great, the aesthetic value of the exterior, the interiors. And the infotainment. Sound system is my No. 1 factor for considering a car and having a silent cabin while driving is really a good experience every time.”

Mark Banayad Changan CS35 Plus

Mark Banayad is a businessman who discovered the CS35 Plus at the 2022 Manila International Auto Show. When he test drove the vehicle, the performance of the vehicle impressed him, as well as the features that it commanded for the price that it was being sold at. The overtaking power that comes from the 1.4-liter turbocharged motor is notable for the model, and the convenience features really sweetened the deal on top of that. 

“How did Changan manage to pack in all those features at that price? Napa-wow ako sa engine performance. Buong buo ang feeling niya. Athan Alonzo’s story is a bit special, as he is recognized as Changan’s first-ever CS35 Plus Luxe owner in the country. He can’t stop raving about his purchase because he can’t believe the number of features that Changan was able to pack in its humble crossover. 

“I like best the DRL lights and tail lights—sobrang pogi. Pormado siya. Ang interiors, malaki. Sobrang packed ng features. Super smooth ang performance. Ang upuan, parang nakaupo ka sa yayamaning couch. Sulit! At first, normal lang ang malakas sa gas consumption but over time tumitipid, lalo na noong nag first PMS, lalo siyang tumipid, lalong gumanda ang takbo.”

The love for the CS35 Plus was so great that they even held a fun run with up to eight cars stacked neatly in a convoy while driving on the scenic roads of Tanay, Rizal. The trio chimed in one more time regarding their love for the brand and its product, the CS35 Plus, and had these things to say:

“Other brands have come ahead of it, pero hindi magpapatalo ang Changan,” Mark enthuses. “Ang comfort at excitement na ibibigay niya when you drive it ay talagang on point.”  

And a clincher from Athan: “Malaki ang na-improve ng China sa cars at technology. Give it a chance. Hindi mo malalaman kung hindi mo susubukan. This is my testament as an owner of a CS35 Plus.
