The current Nissan Navara has been around for quite some time now. With the Philippine market receiving the second-generation pickup back in 2015, the renowned truck received much love and acceptance from the crowd, earning such esteemed points in terms of practicality, capability, and comfort. With that in mind, it’s about time for Nissan to introduce a refreshed version of the pickup, and luckily, the Japanese automaker just released a teaser video stating that a new Navara will be coming soon. Some sources even say that the upcoming model will be revealed this coming November 5.
Apart from its other stablemates, the Nissan Navara is included on the Nissan Next teaser which therefore showcases the brand’s major lineup transformation. Now, going back to the teaser video of the Navara, a historical walkthrough was well-emphasized, therefore highlighting Nissan’s expertise in building pickups.

At the end of the clip, the frontend of the refreshed pickup has been shown. As expected, it does resemble the leaked photo which circulated last week. We affirm this because of the familiar LED signature and quad-projector setup, the grille, however, became unrecognizable on its teaser.
That’s about it, for now. As for its powertrain, the refreshed pickup is expected to carry over the same engine. While Australia and Thailand, perhaps, retain the 2.3-liter twin-turbo diesel, our market on the other hand might get the same 2.5-liter turbo diesel once this refreshed Navara reaches or market. However, there might be a slight possibility that Nissan Philippines would perhaps consider bringing in that 2.3-liter twin-turbo diesel, therefore serving as an additional engine option for Filipino buyers.
We are indeed ecstatic given that the refreshed Nissan Navara is launching sooner than expected. Therefore, we shall continue to deliver some information once this pickup finally breaks cover. So stay tuned and keep your eyes peeled for other juicy updates with regards to this upcoming model.
