BMW unveiled the XM in 2022, with production and deliveries beginning in 2023. The XM was launched as BMW’s flagship hybrid model, celebrating 50 years of the M division. Designed to cater to high-end buyers who prioritize power, exclusivity, and innovation, the XM competes with models like the Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, cementing its position in the ultra-premium, high-performance SUV category.

Built on BMW’s CLAR (Cluster Architecture) platform, the XM features a unique chassis specifically engineered by the M division. It is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 480 kW (644 hp) and 800 Nm of torque. The high-performance XM Label Red trim takes it up a notch with 550 kW (738 hp) and 1,000 Nm, making it the most powerful production BMW ever. Both versions come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The XM’s 25.7 kWh battery offers an electric-only range of up to 82 kilometers on the WLTP cycle.
