Jeep Grand Cherokee 2024

Jeep first unveiled the Grand Cherokee to the world in 2021. The new model codenamed WL is built on the FCA Giorgio platform used on the Alfa Romeo Stelvio. 

In America, the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is available in five trim levels: Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, and Summit. While all models include a 3.6 L Pentastar V6 gasoline engine producing 290 hp and 348 Nm of torque (now assisted by the eTorque Mild Hybrid system), Overland and Summit models will also offer the 5.7 L Hemi V8 gasoline engine with Multi-Displacement System (MDS) rated at 357 hp and 529 Nm of torque.

Here in the Philippines, Jeep launched the Grand Cherokee L on March 31, 2023, with a single variant. This variant is equipped with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and an eight-speed automatic. At launch, the Grand Cherokee came with a price tag of 5,490,000.

As the flagship of the Jeep lineup, the Grand Cherokee L embodies a perfect blend of ruggedness, refinement, and capability.

The chassis of the 2023 Grand Cherokee L is built to withstand the demands of off-road adventures while providing a smooth and comfortable ride on the pavement. It features a unibody construction with high-strength steel, which enhances its durability and rigidity.

Under the hood is the potent Pentastar V6 engine that delivers ample horsepower and torque for spirited acceleration and towing capability. This engine provides 278 hp and 344 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission delivering power to all four wheels via Jeep's Quadra-Trac full-time 4WD system.

The vehicle is also built on the FCA Giorgio Platform which it shares with European models like the Alfa Romeo Stelvio and the Maserati Grecale. It features a longer wheelbase compared to the standard Grand Cherokee, which translates into increased interior space and improved ride comfort. 

For the infotainment system, the Grand Cherokee L comes equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The vehicle also comes equipped with comfort features such as active noise control, heated seats, illuminated cupholders, a memory steering column, ambient interior lighting, three-zone auto temperature control, 3rd-row reading lamps, a heads-up display, and power-adjustable seats.

The Grand Cherokee L commands attention with its bold presence. Its distinctive front fascia features the iconic seven-slot grille that proudly bears the Jeep badge, flanked by sleek LED headlights. The muscular hood features subtle lines and creases, while the prominent lower bumper and fog lights add an air of sophistication.

Moving along the sides, the Grand Cherokee L's elongated silhouette exudes a sense of refined confidence. Its body is sleek and aerodynamic, with a curve that runs from the front fenders to the rear, accentuated by stylish chrome accents on the window trims and door handles. The large windows allow for ample natural light to flood the cabin, providing an inviting and open atmosphere.

The Grand Cherokee L's wheel arches are pronounced and within it are a set of striking alloy wheels complementing the car’s ruggedness. The high ground clearance and bold stance fully display the car’s ability to trek into the wilderness when the occasion calls for it.

The interior of the Grand Cherokee L is modern and luxurious. Upon entering the cabin, you are greeted by a plush interior filled with gadgets, and strategically placed cubbyholes. Premium soft-touch surfaces, fine leather upholstery, and metal accents adorn various parts of the interior.

The driver's cockpit is intuitive and functional. The controls are easy to understand, with a user-friendly infotainment system that includes a large touchscreen display, physical buttons, and knobs for easy access to various features and functions. The seats are supportive, with a range of adjustments, including available heating, ventilation, and massage functions for added comfort during long drives.
