The all-new Tivoli XLV is the longer and slightly bigger version of the Tivoli, with extended length from the C-pillar up to the tailgate. Just like the its smaller brother, it offers a perfect mix of features, engine power, and exterior appeal. It has Daytime Running Lights up front that goes well with the bold bumper design with mesh grille. In the Philippines, the interior of both front-wheel and all-wheel drive variant of the Tivoli XLV are covered in quality fabric with stitched accents on the two-tone seats. The 7-inch touchscreen HD head unit is right at the center of the console for every passenger's entertainment. Drivers of the Tivoli XLV can also switch from three steering modes through the Smart Steer system – Normal, Comfort, and Sport. It also features rear parking sensor, keyless entry and alarm. Under the hood of the Tivoli XLV is a 4-cylinder 16-valve 1.6L Turbocharged Direct Injection diesel engine that delivers 116 HP and 300 Nm of torque, coupled to either a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Launch
The Tivoli nameplate was launched back in 2016 by SsangYong Berjaya Motor Philippines (SBMP). The company unveiled 3 new models during the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) of that year.
Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
As a crossover, the Tivoli XLV features a unibody frame with MacPherson struts in the front and a multi-link suspension in the rear. The vehicle rides on a set of 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with ventilated discs for the front, and solid discs in the rear for brakes. The vehicle stands at 167 mm of ground clearance and has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. In the lineup, the Tivoli XLV is a larger crossover than its normal counterpart. With a length of 4,400 mm, and a width of 1,798, more space and more cargo volume can be had.
The Tivoli XLV is powered by a 1.6 L diesel motor with 4 cylinders and Euro 4 emissions compliance. The motor produces 113 hp and 300 Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission manufactured by AISIN. Power from this engine drives the front wheels.

Driving Performance
With the torque of a diesel motor and a few driving modes to choose from, the Tivoli produces decent engine response and feel while returning good handling characteristics thanks to its light steering, and compact dimensions. Whether in the city, highway, or a winding road, the Tivoli delivers on the ride and handling aspect with a torquey motor to boot.
Technology Features
Sitting prominently in the center console is the 7-inch infotainment system. The touchscreen display features AUX, USB, and Bluetooth connectivity options, as well as Mirrorlink. A total of 6-speakers round out the audio package in this subcompact crossover. Keyless entry as well as a push-start system help with ingress and setting off. The vehicle also comes with steering wheel audio controls, as well as an array of buttons that help control the monochrome display flanked by two cylindrical gauges for speed and engine RPM. Helping the driver with parking and reversing, SsangYong has outfitted the XLV with a backup camera that outputs to the infotainment screen. This camera is complemented by a set of rear parking sensors.
Exterior
A set of halogen projectors with LED daytime running lights. Fog lamps are standard for this model as well. The front end features SsangYong's current product design language that features prominent edges with bold proportions even for its size. The bodywork is boxy all the way to the rear, which features LED bars combined with halogen bulbs for the taillamps.
Interior
The inside of the Tivoli XLV features a monotone black color scheme with piano black and silver accents. The seats are upholstered in cloth, and the steering wheel features perforated leather. The dashboard features sharp angles and cuts, while each touchpoint is soft and free from hard plastics. Red backlighting provides contrast to each of the switches and LCD panels. The gauge cluster also gets a splash of red.
Safety
SsangYong has outfitted the Tivoli XLV with dual front airbags for the driver and passenger. The model also comes with Anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) to aid in emergency stops. For extra security, the XLV features an engine immobilizer.
