MG One Overview
The MG One is a sleek and sporty compact crossover from MG. Joining the ranks of its other crossover stablemates on February 22, 2024, slotting below the HS in terms of size. The MG One sports a modern exterior characteristic of modern MG vehicles. The front end is sleek and aggressive, taking design cues from the electric MG 4 EV while the grille and bumper are reminiscent of the MG GT sedan and other MG crossovers like the HS and ZS.
Under the hood, the MG One is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that pumps out a decent 167 hp and 275 Nm of torque and is mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with power sent exclusively to the front wheels.

MG Philippines launched the One compact crossover into the Philippine market on February 22, 2024. The MG One was introduced with two distinct variants: the 1.5 CVT Lux, and the 1.5 CVT STD. The 1.5 CVT STD has an introductory price of P1,298,888 while the 1.5 CVT Lux came with an introductory price of P1,458,888.

Underpinning the MG One is the MG SIGMA Architecture platform. Powering the compact crossover is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that pumps out a decent 167 hp and 275 Nm of torque and is mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The MG One has a front-wheel drivetrain and electric power steering.
Underneath, the MG One has MacPherson struts at the front while a multi-link suspension setup resides at the rear. Stopping power comes from disc brakes on all four wheels. In terms of size, the MG One is 4,581 mm long, 1,871 mm wide, and 1,671 mm tall, with a wheelbase that measures 2,670 mm.

In terms of tech, the MG One has an array of cutting-edge features. For starters, the MG One has a 12.3-inch touchscreen as standard across the range, this infotainment system is coupled with four speakers for the STD variant and six speakers for the Lux variant. The infotainment system has Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Multimedia Play connectivity.
As for convenience features, the MG One has a multifunction steering wheel, remote keyless entry, Smart key passive entry, push-button start/stop ignition, cruise control, automatic climate control, an electric parking brake, and remote control trunk unlock.

The One veers away from the design of current MG crossovers by introducing a sleeker and more aggressive front fascia. The front end is characterized by the wide grille that extends from end to end along with the sharp LED headlights. The whole front clip is reminiscent of the MG 4 EV and the sporty MG GT.
Moving to the sides, the MG One sports black cladding and chrome garnish below the door line. Buyers have a choice between 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels depending on the chosen variant. At the rear, the MG One continues the sleek and curvy design theme, sporting LED taillights, chrome bumper garnish, and chrome faux exhaust tips to complete the set.

Inside, the MG One has the contemporary design you’ve come to expect from MG vehicles. The MG One’s seats and interior trim are upholstered in black leather complemented by a combination of piano black and matte silver plastic trims.
The driver is treated to a seven-inch virtual instrument cluster, a square steering wheel, and a smart center console. The MG One Lux variant steps up the interior features further by introducing a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charging pad, a six-way power adjustable driver’s seat, and LED ambient lighting.

In terms of safety features, standard features in the MG One include dual front airbags and side airbags, height adjustable seatbelts, Anti-lock Brakes (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill-Hold Control (HHC), Auto Hold Function, Hill Descent Control, Immobilizer, Alarm System, Reverse Camera, Rear Parking sensors, auto-door lock, and ISOFIX anchors.
Exclusive to the Lux variant are a Lane Departure Warning system, a Blind Spot Information system, a front camera, a 360-degree parking camera, and curtain airbags.
