Mitsubishi XForce Overview
Entering the subcompact crossover arena, this is the Mitsubishi XForce. Featuring bold styling and sporty proportions, the XForce brings Mitsubishi’s touch of energy back into a subcompact crossover.
Powering the XForce is the reliable 4A91 engine, a four-cylinder naturally-aspirated gasoline engine that also powers the Mitsubishi Xpander. This engine puts out 103 hp at 6,000 rpm and 141 Nm @ 4,000 rpm, paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), this engine delivers power to the front wheels.
Mitsubishi has also equipped the XForce selectable drive modes; Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud providing added capability when the roads get rough. In addition, Mitsubishi’s Active Yaw Control (AYC) comes standard on all trim levels, adding another layer of safety.

The Mitsubishi XForce first appeared as the XFC Concept at the 2022 Vietnam Motor Show. A year later, the production version made its debut at the 30th Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show in 2023.
Here in the Philippines, the Mitsubishi XForce was officially launched in July 2024. The XForce for the Philippines came in two variants, the GLS, and the range-topping GT.
- Platform, Chassis and Powertrain

Under the hood of the XForce is Mitsubishi’s 4A91 engine a four-cylinder naturally-aspirated gasoline engine, the same engine powering the Xpander. This engine produces 103 hp at 6,000 rpm and 141 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), it delivers power to the front wheels.
As for the suspension, the XForce is equipped with MacPherson struts up front and a torsion beam suspension set up at the rear. Stopping power is provided by a set of disc brakes on all corners of the crossover.
The XForce is built on the same unibody platform as the Xpander which is said to provide more stability and added comfort, especially on rutted roads.

All variants feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The PH-spec XForce also includes an eight-speaker sound system by Yamaha. Other standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, 40:20:40 split-rear seats, an eight-inch digital instrument panel, rear aircon vents, an electronic parking brake, ISOFIX rear anchors for child seats, ambient lighting, and multiple Type A and Type C USB charging ports.
The top-of-the-line XForce GT exclusively offers a wireless mobile phone charger, synthetic leather seats with heat guard (the GLS variant has fabric seats), rain-sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control, and rear parking sensors.

The sleek XForce combines the latest evolution of Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield design with a boxy body and sharp body curves. In terms of dimensions, the Xforce measures 4,390 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width, 1,660 mm in height, and has a 2,650 mm wheelbase. It boasts a minimum ground clearance of 193 mm and a curb weight ranging from 1,235 kg to 1,250 kg. The GT and GLS variants feature 18-inch alloy wheels with 225/50 series tires, LED headlights, and foglights that wrap around the front bumper. The XForce’s LED taillights also repeat this design in the back.

Inside, the XForce boasts a stylish blend of colors and different textured materials. The majority of the cabin features a black finish, complemented by silver and bronze accents. The GLS variant has black and gray fabric seats, while the GT variant features seats upholstered in black and brown synthetic leather. The dashboard is enhanced with fabric trim for added texture.
The XForce’s center tunnel houses the shifter, the engine start/stop button, the electronic parking button, and the drive mode selectors. The HVAC controls are located just up front, with a pair of air conditioning vents located up top.
The driver’s seat offers six-way manual adjustment, while the passenger seat provides four-way manual adjustment. The rear seats are 40:20:40 folding with an eight-step recline and full-flat folding functions. The rear seats feature two retractable cup holders in the middle. ISOFIX anchors are located at the sides for child seats.

Standard features on Mitsubishi Xforce models include a reverse camera, active stability, and traction control, active yaw control, hill-start assist, anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, and brake assist. Additionally, all variants feature dual front and side airbags, while the GT version includes extra curtain airbags.
Exclusive to the GT variant are a range of intelligent driver-aids. These advanced features include forward collision mitigation, blind-spot warning, rear-cross traffic alert, automatic high beam, a tire pressure monitoring system, and lead car departure notification.
