GAC Aion Y Plus 2024

The GAC Aion Y is constructed on a dedicated electric vehicle platform, known as e-TSPA. This architecture is specifically designed for EVs and supports a balanced chassis structure, optimizing comfort, rigidity, and safety. The modular design allows for improved space utilization, maximizing passenger and cargo room while ensuring high-level energy efficiency. 

The chassis integrates advanced engineering for a smooth, comfortable driving experience, thanks to an independent suspension system. A front MacPherson strut suspension is complemented by a multi-link rear suspension, ensuring stability on uneven roads and improved handling for urban and suburban driving scenarios.

As for propulsion, the Y has a front-mounted 150 kW electric motor providing 201 hp and 255 Nm of torque at the front wheels. Standard across the lineup is a 63.2 kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery providing a claimed driving range of 490 km. The Aion Y can be charged using a CCS Combo or Type 2 charging type. It takes 30 minutes for a fast charge and 8 hours for a standard charge using a wall outlet.
