Lexus LM 2024

The Lexus LM made its global debut at the 18th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition on April 16, 2019. It was released in China on February 20, 2020. A month later in March 2020, Lexus Philippines officially made the LM available for sale in the Philippines.

In 2023, Lexus Philippines quietly introduced the second-generation LM to the Philippine market. Available in both four-seater and seven-seater configurations, the luxurious minivan came with a launch price of P7,578,000 for the seven-seater and P11,808,000 for the fully kitted out four-seater version.

The Lexus LM is built on the TNGA-K platform. Pegged as a luxury limousine version of the Alphard, the LM is slightly longer and features newer and stronger structural components. It also features soundproofing elements, including dual-pane windows. The new model abandons the petrol V6 and is now exclusively available with a hybrid powertrain. In terms of power, the LM 350h can put out 188 hp. Torque figures differ depending on the variant, however, with the seven-seater LM generating 239 Nm of torque while the four-seater puts out 243 Nm.

The LM is equipped with the full range of Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 functionalities, including the Safe Exit Assist. All these features are useful for ensuring that long journeys can be completed safely, especially when considering the kinds of people who board the LM.

The Lexus LM features an array of premium technology. These include a 14-inch Electro Multi-Vision (EMV) Display with Navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The massive infotainment system connects to a 21-speaker Mark Levinson Reference Surround Sound System with Bluetooth and USB connectivity. In terms of rear passenger entertainment, the seven-seater LM has a 14-inch ceiling-mounted screen. The four-seater version, thanks to the additional space brought by fewer seats, has a massive 48-inch ultrawide display for the two rear passengers. For comfort, Lexus equipped the LM with a tri-zone climate control air conditioning unit. 

The Lexus LM takes much of its looks from the Toyota Alphard, albeit with much more flair and a premium feel. The LM benefits from an all-LED lighting setup, including triple-beam LED headlamps, LED sequential turn signal lamps, LED daytime running lights, LED cornering lamps, and an LED front fog lamp. Lexus also fitted the LM with acoustic glass throughout the vehicle for superior noise insulation. The Lexus LM rides on 19-inch aluminum noise-reduction wheels.

The rear is characterized by the L-Signature bar lamp, the LM’s rear light fixture which extends from the vehicle’s left and right D-pillar. The light arrangement is said to give the LM a much more imposing and wider stance according to Lexus.

Stepping inside the Lexus LM is an exercise in luxury. The high-end leather seats provide an unrivaled experience, with a set of two captain's chairs present whichever variant you choose. The driver will enjoy a wood and leather steering wheel, and behind it, a 12-inch TFT multi-information display. The LM also features a variety of storage spaces, including the center console box, hidden tables, a file holder, cupholders, door pockets, bottle holders, and more. For a richer ride, the LM features an illuminated color ceiling, which can be configured to change colors whenever needed. Whether during the day or at night, the panoramic moonroof on the Lexus LM provides an expansive view of the sky for all occupants.
