The Tesla Model Y is a compact electric SUV designed for versatility, efficiency, and family use. With seating for up to seven (optional), generous cargo space, and Tesla’s advanced technology, it blends practicality with performance. It’s available in three variants—Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD), Long Range (AWD), and Performance (AWD).

Unveiled in March 2019, the Tesla Model Y entered production in early 2020. It shares many components with the Model 3 but offers a more spacious interior and higher driving position. A 2023 refresh added subtle design and tech updates. It made its way to the Philippines through Tesla’s official sales network in the local market, with its showroom located in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila.

Built on the same platform as the Model 3, the Model Y features a slightly higher stance and larger dimensions. Powertrain options include single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD configurations, producing between 283–513 horsepower. It delivers a range of 455–533 km (WLTP), depending on the variant, with Supercharger compatibility for fast charging.

The Model Y offers Tesla’s hallmark tech suite, including a 15-inch touchscreen, over-the-air updates, and Tesla’s Autopilot as standard. Optional Full Self-Driving (FSD) enhances autonomous features. It also features a HEPA air filtration system and premium audio.
