The Seres 7, is a mid-size crossover developed by Seres. Launched in 2022, the Seres 7 is designed as a range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) that bridges the gap between pure electric mobility and traditional internal combustion power. In the Philippines, the Seres 7 comes in two configurations: a two-row five-seater and a three-row six-seater, offering flexibility for both family and professional use. This crossover combines cutting-edge tech with comfort and performance, offering impressive range and power, making it a standout option for those seeking eco-friendly, long-distance driving solutions.
Platform, Chassis and Powertrain
The Seres 7 is built on a modified platform derived from the Fengon ix7, sharing its underpinnings with the Fengon 580. It is available in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and four-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations. The RWD model features a 1.5-liter turbocharged range-extender engine producing up to 150 hp, paired with a 200 kW (268 hp) electric motor. This setup provides a total range of 1,220 kilometers when combining the range extender and the battery. The AWD version adds a front motor with an additional 130 kW (134 hp), delivering a combined output of 449 hp and 660 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. The AWD variant offers an overall range of 1,100 kilometers. Both versions feature regenerative braking to improve energy efficiency and extend the battery range.
The Seres 7 is packed with advanced technology, much of which comes from its collaboration with Huawei. A key feature is the vehicle’s infotainment system, which integrates seamlessly with Huawei’s HarmonyOS, providing a smooth user experience across multimedia, navigation, and connectivity functions. Passengers can also enjoy an immersive sound experience with a Huawei-designed 19-speaker sound system in a 7.1 surround sound setup, providing concert-quality audio throughout the cabin. Additionally, the Seres 7 benefits from advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) powered by Huawei's AI technology, including intelligent parking assistance, lane-keeping support, and adaptive cruise control, all of which enhance safety and convenience during travel.

The exterior design of the Seres 7 is sleek and contemporary, blending aerodynamic efficiency with a bold, muscular stance. Its commanding front grille, sharp LED headlights, and sculpted body lines give it a modern yet aggressive look. The vehicle’s proportions, including a high shoulder line and wide stance, underscore its crossover pedigree while maintaining a smooth, flowing design that enhances its road presence. Safety is a key focus in the Seres 7, which comes equipped with a suite of standard safety features to ensure the well-being of its occupants. These include anti-lock brakes (ABS), and electronic stability control (ESC). The vehicle’s structural integrity is designed to absorb and dissipate energy in the event of a collision, enhancing overall occupant protection. Additionally, the lineup benefits from a comprehensive advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), which includes features like blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic emergency braking. These technologies work in harmony to minimize the risk of accidents and provide peace of mind for both city driving and long-distance travel.
The Seres 7 boasts an impressive number of airbags for superb safety in the event of a collision. The five-seater variant gets two A pillar airbags, two B pillar airbags, two C pillar airbags, one driver side airbag, one passenger side airbag, as well as airbags on the driver and passenger seat, totalling an impressive 10 airbags. Meanwhile, the six-seater variant gets two additional airbags on the second row seats, bumping that number up to 12 airbags.
